New Nut - Improvement!

First my disclaimer: I am not a luthier. I can do some very minor repairs and a little bit of setting up.

That being said, I purchased a pre-cut nut for my Cordoba F10. It is the kind with the scallops which, to me, looks pretty cool even though it probably really does nothing to enhance the sound of the guitar. I had to do a little adjusting for the fit, but it came out really nice and the fit is perfect. What I found interesting is the original nut was really badly installed. The bottom of the nut was a fairly convex curve that I could almost rock like a rocking chair. (OK, I am sometimes guilty of hyperbole.) Mine is perfectly flat and carefully fitted.

With the new strings, I think it already sounds better. Quicker response and more complex tone. However it could just be my imagination. (Or hopeful thinking) I am waiting for the strings to stretch up to full tension to see if I can hear anything, but I think it was a successful venture.

What was already a very nice sounding guitar could actually turn out surprisingly great!

Best to put this in the Product Reviews section. Otherwise someone reading this in the Lutherie section might confuse this for fact (seems a lot of that's going around...)

I do not know how to move this to the correct section. Is it something that a moderator can do?
