I'm lovin it man! Distant paths is really really awesome man. I liked the video but to hear it mastered and recorded well really adds another level of depth to it. Thanks for adding beauty to the world man!

So glad to hear you enjoyed it, Kasey! Seriously makes my day :)
Really a nice and friendly offer. But to be honest I´ve expected much more flamenco music.
Sorry. I am not exclusively a flamenco guitarist and this album is most reflective of who I am as a musician. The majority of the tracks are original compositions, while the arrangements are those that are musically dear to me. Thanks for the comment though!
On that note, though, the entire album is imbued with a flamenco aesthetic. Certainly not flamenco flamenco -- as Humberto would say, I "do not have the pretension" to say something like that -- but my harmonic and technical approach is greatly informed by flamenco. I guess it's a respectful kind of fusion. :)
BTW, for those who have bought the album (THANK YOU!!), I should have physical copies on April 4th and will be mailing them ASAP.
Also, if interested, check out my blog for a description of each piece and whom it was inspired by: http://www.danielvolovets.com/blog.html. I will try to post one once every two or three days. So far I have posted about the first two pieces, which are dedicated to Yamandu Costa and El Payo Humberto, respectively. :)

Would like to apologize for the lack of blog updates re: pieces on Rainy Highway. I'm wrapping up my last semester as a pre-med so things are a bit crazy, but I'll be writing a new blog post very soon! In the meantime, the CD is still available on my website. :) The reception so far has been fantastic, and I am exceedingly grateful for all the support!
