Maybe take any Tangos in A, do a chart for the harmony and transpose to F#, find voicings you like in the new key and do an 'impression' of the original off the cuff following the 'new' chord sequence.

Sorry if this is old hat to you, but fit might kick star some new ideas if you haven't tried it already.

I don't know if it helps but listen on youtube tomatito's bulerias in that key, maybe it can inspire some possibilities

The por medio thing is a good Idea. I'm seeking inspiration because I'm composing a Tangos in Taranto-tonality. And i thought there're some special voicings or somethings which I dont know.

Hi Jof, do you like any of this falsetas?

I think they are real cool and it's some advanced stuff, great for your level of playing. There are also videos of the falsetas played slower. I hope this helps, I'm sure you will at least like the first one.

:-)

I composed a kind of rumba/tango (not sure what it is to be honest) in that key myself. Hope to record/post it one day. Like usual it's a mixture of styles and keys but the final part is rumba/tango in the key of tarantas.
