To polish or not to polish

Ok Gents,
I searched the foro and it seems no luthier ever answered this question. I just recieved my shelton double body back from refinish and forgot to ask. Would you or could you use a spray guitar polish on your flamenco guitar. Some say yes, some no. What do the luthiers think. French polish or lacquer.

Gracias ~

You can polish all you want.
Be carefull with silicone. It makes repairs and refinishes very complicated and a lot of polishes contain a lot of silicone. The more silicone the more gloss.

If its just been refinishes, I would wait and let the guitar gas out a bit.

Greetings all,
Can anyone recommend a polish that does not contain silicone. What do you gents use?

Best,

Do a search for synthetic auto polishes without silicone. There are lots of them and they work great.
