Pegheads

Well, I promised a photo of my latest pegheads finished today. Here they are. Pegsy and Peggy. A blonde or a brown haired. Uff, difficult choice

And from the back.
The color of the cypress is not correct. It's the same as on the front. I'm a lucky builder, not only do I build pegheads, but two at the same time and a blanca and a Braz Negra.

Pat, Yes it's the Hongkong guitar.

Peter, the old artist has a good eye The thing is that the blanca has its rosette and the purfling natural colored and the rest of the guitar is orange. Just like on a Conde. The difference is that this is French Polish, and the Conde is industrial lacquer. I have no idea how my polisher does it, and I've never seen anyone else capable of doing so.

Beautiful guitars Anders, but that Brazillian Negra is just stunning.

Anders,

Delicious guitars.

The back of the Negra is stunning.

My blanca makes me happy, I feel like I have played her for years.

One day a Negra, but first I have to buy a kitchen for Annette!

All the best, Andy.

Hi Andy

Good to hear from you, and good to know you still like your blanca.

I could do with a new kitchen (or house) as well.

saludos

Hi Tom

Long time no see. Good to hear from you. I hope hurricane seasen is not to rough on you, I know you live inland, but still windy???

A little photo for the inspiration. She's 1 week old, she's mine , and she sings like she looks.

Wow! she is beautiful. I am very curious to know how your finisher is able to apply the orange on the guitar and not the rosette by hand? I know how it's done with lacquer but French polish? I must find out.

We just get the mild winds and some rain from the hurricanes since we are inland. Nothing too bad. Tornadoes are what we have to worry about here in this part of Texas but usually only during March, April and May.

With respect of coloring the soundboard and not the rosette/purfling. I have no idea, but lots of respect on how its done.

The guitar is only 10 days old, but it's really opening up. It can be tried here in my workshop (not for sale!!!! it's mine )

Tom;

What part of Texas do you live in? Katy and I were married in San Angelo, Tom Green County, at Goodfellow Air Force Base when I was in the service. In December we will celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary.

The manager of the Pasadena Apartments in San Angelo, where we lived, told us that a tornado had hit one block away. It destroyed steel reinforced buildings. She told us, “Don’t worry about tornadoes. We live in a “good brick building”! I envisioned bricks flying in all directions!

By the way I do not think anyone had a basement in that area. Lots of memories!

Hi Stephen

You´re welcome anytime you want. Just give me a call 958 485 118. My tlf etc, can also be found on my website. I've just uploaded a lot of new flamenco guitar photos.
Last time I spoke to Gordon, he said he liked both guitars

Hi Anders,
Very nice photos, I just love this orange colour. You still have that bad link on your classical guitars, though.

Pawel

Hola Anders

I note (with approval ) that the pegs on this guitar wind in the traditional manner, rather than all inwards as on your original design. Has living in Aldalucía made you more traditional or is it just a whim?

Pablus.

Hm, I will have to look at that webpage. I just forget it.

Sean, I think that living in Andalucia has made me less radical, also in designs. It just looks better this way, doesn't it?

frhout, sorry, I never mention the names etc. of my clients. I leave it up to them. It's just business policy.

Stephen\Anders:
Of my two guitars I do not have a favourite. They are very different instruments, each one a pleasure to play.

Ole Gordon

You are right.

I have a Gerundino which I bought from the man for 200,000 ptas. Apparently it is now worth a lot of money.

I have a Melero which I acquired in a swop. I doubt if it would fetch 2000 euros.

I love them both. You could offer me 1,000,000 euros for either and walk away emptyhanded.
