Maybe some people like it less crispy? I suppose it also depends on what one means with crispiness. Maybe it's better to go for a blanca if crispy tone is what one's after.
I suppose it has back and sides of indian rosewood?

But I wonder how come you didn't decide it wasn't soundwise right for you before sending it for neck and action adjusments?

Well honesty may not help sell the guitar but it will help me sleep better -- and anyway, as tele also just said in in his post, crispy is a) not necessarily preferred by everybody, and b) sort of (but not completely IMO) an imprecise term.

Thank you, yes I'm hoping some like it less 'crispy' -- I guess what I'm referring to is more punch and sparkle in the trebles than this guitar seems to have. Yes, Indian back and sides.

I was afraid it wasn't quite right for me sound-wise when first received but it was quite new and unplayed, had made a journey overseas in a detuned state, etc.; and having owned a couple of Rayas and played several more over 20 years I felt I owed the maker and the guitar a chance. Plus, a friend was making a round trip to Granada from New York, where I am, so the 'shipping' was free; would I have done differently? Sure, if I could predict the future.

Having been flip-flopping for a while (some of you may very well know the feeling), I would like to offer this guitar (again) at a pretty good price; spending June in Spain so, you know . . .
