Treatise of Accompaniment to El Cant...

Hola amigos,
I just received the David Leiva "Solea 1" instruction book/dvd and it is the best I have seen! However, I am trying to find his "Seguiriya 1" in the United States or Canada to avoid the exhorbitant shipping costs from Europe.
Does anyone know where this is available?
If anyone is interested, check out the link because these instruction dvd's are concise and really explain visually in a way no other teacher I've seen.

thanks!

Didn't Ricardo slam David Leiva here for some egregious errors? I don't remember the details maybe someone can find the post.

I'll try to give the correct url to the videos, there are examples when you scroll down.

I am no judge of what is correct, but even if there are errors they can be corrected. For me I am getting the basics in an understandable way, and for the price of lesson than a single lesson--well worth it!

Ricardo is the resident foro flamenco professional but he is not god or a prophet, even though he is treated as such on this foro.

The Leiva videos and the accompanying booklets are great study material.
They cost as much as a one skype lesson and yet provide at least a month or more of material for study.

I can't see how anyone could criticize this set of DVD's as being bad.

I'd be curious to know what Ricardo's criticisms are and why you're not inclined to accept those criticisms (if that's the case).

i was gonna suggest you ask Ricardo - maybe (likely) he's hearing something you're missing....

i haven't seen the vids, but i got a couple of the the books with cd's when they came out.

the cd's had each track with guitar and cante and then again with cante only. i was actually really shocked by the guitar and cante tracks - the timing of the guitar seemed all over the place.

friend of mine who is experienced accompanist listened to it and agreed.

Update: I didn't think this DVD would be much good from having heard the audio from some of the book/CD's he published (i gave those audio's a bad review), but i watched a few clips today and thought they sounded a lot better than the audio's i heard before;
