it is REALLY hard to believe it!!! :-)

.... specially after I had - true- an exquisit slice of "porchetta di Ariccia" , at lunch just a few minutes agò! :-)

(to hard to explain how the "porchetta di Ariccia" is made and taste, so please chek in internet! -- porchetta means young female pork, Ariccia is a town closed to Rome - :-)

..... anyway, seriously, GRAT rispect for religious or cultural motivations.

kudo, I like you and your posts but you would have been better off hiring Ruphus to take care of this post for you

You know multiple doctors say that all people that drink tea or have had tea will die?

In America, most people consume pork. Some times some people after dance parties, they have swapping of girlfriends; i.e. many say "you sleep with my girl and I will sleep with your girl." If you eat pigs then you behave like pigs. dont forget that some people have sex with their girl on the dance floor or right infront of everyone else! I have heard of such things happening many times!

seriously you are borderline psycho saying that crap. Thank god you DON'T have a girlfriend, they are safe from you, since you've been hanging out in the gym locker with the naked guys.

quote:

Christianity, Judism and Islam , ALL 3 PROHIBIT pork ? there must be a good reason. I dont care if you are athiest or whatever, but why do these 3 (AT LEAST) religions prohibit pork? can you say all 3 of them have dumb/stupid reasons? I dont think so. theres only 1 answer that makes perfect sense that links these 3 together

I thought it was "cloven hoofed" animals, because they remind of Satan. But all 3 religions have similar ancient roots....a single invisible man protector and punishment bringer for seeming bad behavior. Back then you eat a certain animal and everyone gets sick so they blame god, or rather think god has punished them. But they did nothing wrong....so must have been for eating that beast. I don't think the majority was thinking there might have been some other reasons for getting sick after eating some type of food.

People brought up under certain types of religions and belief systems try to justify old practices despite new information and logic that might go counter. It's pretty silly to say pigs are dirty when they aren't really. Some people even keep them as pets.

quote:

Bringing up that topic was the perfect opportunity to predict the reaction of the other group based on your replies. My theories were extra stuff I added to stir things up ,

Not a good idea to use your community of "friends" for your experiment, without some heads up first. I am not sure if you are serious even about your school project and perhaps just trying to find a safe way out from your "pig headed" view point.

You obviously insist on maintaining your "pig-headed" views in the face of all evidence to the contrary, Kudo. Christianity does NOT prohibit the consumption of pork, plain and simple. Judaism and Islam DO prohibit the consumption of pork.

Cheers,

Bill

Kudo, where are the "scientific facts" you mention, to back up all of your observations and statements regarding the relationship of eating pigs (ham, bacon, pork) and human behavior? Please provide the "scientific facts" to substantiate your theory.

Bill, just

Ask Imam

- you'll find all Kudo's "scientific facts" laid out with predictable objectivity.

So basically your own opinion exactly corresponds to the "BS" you posted? At least you have the honesty to admit how ridiculous your viewpoint is then

I have to say I am a bit shocked. I thought you were a cool guy, but after all this drivel, who knows...and I am not even offended that easily.

So, essentially, you deliberately fouled your own nest on this Forum, Kudo. You may have thought you were being clever, but what you have accomplished is to ensure that no comment of yours on any future thread will be taken seriously.

Sometimes you just have to sit down and just make a start. Procrastination and lack of faith in your abilities will combine to kill any success stone dead. I know, it is how I feel every time I have to write a document.

I find starting with an outline for each section - just a heading - and then filling in the gaps gradually can work well. Breaking it down into small chunks can lead to a very readable and concise document. Don't look upon it as a linear experience. Write your conclusion first and work back from that.

I can help with the outline and the type of content I would expect to see in each section, if you like - to get you started?

Hey Kudo,

Speeches, Radio programme writing, Essay writing all take the same form.

Have a look at this for starters..

http://lklivingston.tripod.com/essay

Life is not all about doing what we WANT to do.

School, College and Work for most folk is about doing things you don't want to do to enable you to do the things you DO want to do.

Even musicians at times have to play gigs and music they're either bored with or don't personally like in order to pay the bills and keep going.

You might even find you are good at essays or writing and it may take your life in a different direction.

Even to the USA where you can have sex on the dance floor like everybody else.

cheers,

Ron

Kudo, unfortunately that is a common reality for so many people!.... who of us can say of not be depressed or not have finacial problems, carreer problems etc....

take me, for exemple, (to long to explain the details) but after 25 years of carreer with others my colleagues, six mounths agò I had to start again creating a new my own office...I tell you ....it is not easy! (I am 54 now!)!...

BUT......this is the life on planet hearth!..... so.... we have to face it! and because you like to eat fish... I hope one day you will visit Italy and come in my town .... where almost every day (if the weather is ok) you can eat fish caught the night before!... I'll be happy to take you to a fish restaurant of a friend of mine! :-)

ciao, :-)

If writing a paper in English is difficult get a copy of William Zinsser's book called "On Writing Well". He breaks it down as Escribano has told you, but he goes into great depth about how to move your writing along. This book will help you write better and get more personal enjoyment out of the process.

His website:

its not just how to write, but what to write on such a topic. different readers would react differently to those things that I googled up as a supporting evidence stuff. I wanted to know how I would be possibly graded when the paper is marked and how strong the arguments are, and what the reader would think

Zinsser covers all that in his book, because those are the things writers worry over. he explains how to research, what do do when you are stuck and can't think of a topic, how to make the topic stay fascinating to the reader. And he coaches writers on how to not get bogged down in a bad writing trench by overly judging yourself while you write.

Analysis is paralysis.
