Hey Shawn,

Good to hear from you. I have tried the 2001's a while back but not the high tension. I am not sure how high tension they are but I normally don't like too high of a tension set of strings..... The 820B's I have right now are very comfortable and easy for me to play. How much harder in tension are the strings you are talking about?

RE: La Bella Strings - Quality Control (in reply to rumbaking

Hey Rumbaking, those 820B's do sound good on a blanca. Have you ever tried the 2001 flamenco line? I bet that you would like those 2001FH (flamenco high tension). They are only like $6.90 or something from Strings By Mail, and the 820 is $6 exactly I think. Either way, they are half the price of a lot of strings, and are only 2 3rds the price of J45's. At that price its worth a shot to see if you like the high tension basses in the 2001 sets better than the 820 medium bases.

I agree with a_arnold's statements above, to me La Bella has always seemed more flamenco than the J45C. This is not to say that I don't like the J45 and J46C, but La Bella can give you more pop and a more flamenco attack. There's something about the way La Bella feels under the left hand that I have always liked. It always seems like you don't have to work as hard when playing on La Bella.

My teacher Juan Serrano also plays and endorses LaBella strings.

RE: La Bella Strings - Quality Control (in reply to kudo

my two cents...
also got my strings 820b from labella
no complaints....
been using la bella for awhile along with a combined set of luthier 30's basses and hannabach 828 trebles for variety
one thing about the la bella strings is that are are unique
provide a nice growl and sizzle on my guitar...
really nice feel under the fingers...
very percussive, bright but full sounding
deep basses...
the customer support labella offered here is quite outstanding...
no luck at all when i purchased faulty hannabach's...
based on this i will continue to use la bella strings...

Kudo they are worth trying if you have'nt yet...give the trebles a few days to come into their own....great string

When i asked them if the sets have the sticker on it, they said "Yes, of course".

Just order the 820 and 820b to test. I do not know what sticker you are referring but will report back what I get from String by Mail.

The new La Bella packages have a round yellow sticker that says, "New Improved Trebles." They come on the 2001 and the 820 flamenco strings.

Both models really are very much improved, and have no intonation problems.

That means that sets without the stickers are the same as the old ones?

Yes, I believe that is the case. But I'm sure Lorenza will let us know.

Hello Members,

If you receive a set without the sticker, please provide us proof of purchase and we can send you a set of the improved trebles. Please email us at info@labell.com.

Thank you!

I am glad to read Lorenza response to the questions. I just orders several sets from Strings by Mail for the first time. I have been using Hanabach but after reading the post decide it to try them out. I hope they work out.

Thanks for your input. I did receive and order confirmation and shipping information on part of my order, I think the 820b are on back order and will ship sometime in the future no date given, I assume they are waiting for strings. I am surprise by the lack of response from SBM on your order. I have been doing business with them for several years and have always experience first class service from them. Good luck on your order.
