lol, dude, castillo's workshop is famous enough that people know for sure what it looks like, at least I do, and that these pictures were taken by castillo himself before he shipped the guitar to the owner. I can tell you for sure, that this is a nice castillo blanca guitar AND THIS IS A GREAT DEAL!!

You can correct me if I am wrong???

But I believe this is the guitar I had ordered from Salvador, but due to financial constraints was not able to follow through with purchase.

I actually never played the guitar, but it was made very light and more like an old Santos/Barbero…

Some differences/special requests I made:
Cedar neck with NO truss rod… very light!
The bridge is not Ebony (like his standard), but instead stained African Mahogany (lighter!), which gives the guitar more punch.
+ I believe he changed up the bracing pattern a bit for a more old school sound too…

All in all, he told me that this guitar sounded very mature + articulate for a new guitar.

If this is the guitar I think it is, then someone is going to get a real nice (special Salvador Castillo) for a good price.

I wish I had the money!!!

I'm tempted VF, but I gotta fund my daughter's college education. I'll have to stick with what I've got until she's done.

cosimojack: this is most likely not the same guitar you order since I talked with Salvador directly regarding the specs. My bridge is made of cedar.

GuitarVlog: Don't worry about it, family always take priority. Your daughter may just find a great job after college and end up buying you one.

I recieved about 4 different emails from random people telling me I should keep this guitar. My nephew is also begging me to keep this guitar for him. In truth, it's hard to part with this blanca. I have a really nice negra coming this December that i've been on waitlist for. Also the deal for the Port Orford Cedar blanca by Stephen Faulk is just too tasty. Guitar acquisition syndrome took over and hence the fire sale.

However, I think i'm going to keep this guitar till december and compare it to the negra i'll be receiving. Sale retracted.

I'm far from being a luthier, but never seen a Castillo's bridge made of ebony. Just check His page, or previous guitars for sale here....

...and this one seems palisander for me as well
