I have never heard of or seen anyone with these, and I had never heard of them.

Can't hurt to try, but it is not a good sign! I think D'addario, Savarez, Luthier and Hannabach are the typical brands flamencos use. You may need to mix and match!

I have used them but on classicals, with the harder tension. Great string, as carbon goes, they are sweeter than Savarez Alliance, not quite as artificial.

Stephen, from your experience, do you think that Knobloch or Savarez Alliance Normal Tension are better for flamenco?

I realize it's a year-old thread, but I want to encourage you to try these strings as I've been very happy with them (Knobloch Actives - carbon, high tension).
My teacher uses them so I gave them a try. These are bright strings, but have much less of that singy-pingy sound that annoyed me when I was using Savarez Corum/Alliance combo.
Basses have good separation and last longer than Savarez Corum basses. I'm a beginner and only play 20-30mins a day, but after 2 months the basses still sound good to me. Savarez and Hannabach sets I tried were dead after 2-3 weeks. D'addarios lasted long as well, but were not as bright and I didn't care for nylon G-string.
So if you want bright strings that sound more natural than savarez alliance, give these a try. Not cheap, but last a long time.

Out of curiosity I tried the Knobloch and the Jose Ramirez strings. My Montalvo guitar is a bit thin sounding, so i prefer strong basses and bright highs. The Knobloch strings had Kno-bass on my instrument and to my ears they sounded flat. I will try them on my Esteve guitar where the bass is sometimes too full but I will probably not try the Knobloch again.
The Ramirez strings were more of a winner on the Montalvo, but still not as good as my reference set as I seem to love the Hannabach sound. For the basses I use the 727HT (for some reason they call them "custom") and the Hannabach Carbon trebles. These give my guitar the best sound i've heard yet.
