Brune Still for Sale. 900 dollars

I'm selling my 1995 Richard Brune Model 30-F flamenca blanca.

Video and audio of the guitar here.

This guitar was made by Asturias under the direction of Richard Brune, using his personal stock of aged spruce and cypress. It is Brune's clone of the 1951 Marcelo Barbero played by Sabicas. Only 24 of these guitars were made.

Sound and playability are stellar. This is a player. Its got normal playing wear, and some tiny string dings behind the bridge.
Other than that, its in excellent condition.

900 usd

Serious inquiries, send me an email. toddkreuz@gmail.com

Well the way you play you deserve a great flamenco guitar, certainly a hell of a lot better than the yammy :) I hope you do find another fine flamenco, as you already know there are many great makers in the u.s, so you dont even need to look abroad and they will be cheaper than a known spanish maker. Really enjoyed the vid you embedded above, very nice!

I just purchased the Sigurdson blanca currently up the classifieds, and I'm now in tears upon seeing this. Oh cruel fates!

I'm selling my car tomorrow though, so if this is still available I'll just succumb entirely to GAS and forget worrying about being broke.

The Asturias workshop in Japan makes good guitars and I have no doubt that they would do much justice to Richard's plan.

I'm thinking about this guitar, but maybe I'll let dionysius have a go at it. I don't know that I need to upgrade right now given that I have my own Yamaha and a Saez #24 (and that I'm nowhere near Todd's talent ).

OK, i just got a bazillion emails, and now ive got a bidding war going
on.

Price is nearly double at this point.

The reason for the insane price, was absolute despiration.
I need the money really bad, and really fast.

Whoops! Well, that's a good problem to have, eh?

I guess I'll stick with what I have.

Good to hear, I'll stop second guessing my choice now. I was reading past archives where someone was willing to pay $7k for a Brune, and I couldn't believe my ears 'n eyes when you were offering yours for a cool $900.

Yeah, i saw that 7k offer. Makes me cry to think about it. hahaha

You can imagine how desperate i am for money
right now.
I would never let this guitar go for any amount of money under normal
circumstances.
But times are tough at the moment. No choice. I have to sell it fast.

hey Todd, sorry to hear you're having a tough time - hopefully you can afford to at least hold out for the best offer - maybe you can even find someone who'd be willing to sell it back to you when the time is right? I agree with Chilli, a player of your level deserves a great guitar.

Yeah, I saw one being offered for 7k-probably the same one. I'd shell out a lot more than your asking if it would allow me to play it as you do above, but sadly, that's not going to happen. I hope you get solid money for it. Best of luck.

Wow! Was that another Japanese-made Brune-Asturias or was it a guitar that was actually made by Brune?

I think that's a real Brune built by Richard. That's at least the 2nd time I've seen that guitar posted to CL. It'd be worth your time to drive down and check it out.

Todd, I have a friend who might be interested in your guitar if it's still available (although I'm guessing it has already sold).
