i was at guitar center yesterday and saw an example of this... if one says the guitar looks like crap they are describing the sound as well. this is a cheap factory made guitar with maple sides and back (laminated i am sure) with a thick top. the finish is super flat matt. i am sure as a wall decoration it would be nice but short of that.....

by the way, the new yamaha flamenco has the flat matt finish and although it has an ebony fretboard and new buttons (no butterfly style) it sounds worse than the older version. the older version of the rodriguez entry flamenco was a lot better than the newer version that came out a few years ago.

Ugh, Fender started doing this with their strats and telecasters, phony road worn artificial aging crap. This never looked anything but fake on their guitars and thats exactly how it looks here.

I don't mind it to be honest. From the photo it looks ok to me. If the guitar sounded good i would consider it.
