New peghead Blanca for sale

So I'm selling this one with the new bracing pattern.
It's really nice. The video doesn't really do it much justice. I'll try to upload some audio straight to here.

Spanish Cypress back & sides, spruce top, all French polished. 650 scale. Ebony pegs that tune quite smooth. Nut width is 53 mm.

$2200 -

Thanks RTC, aleksi and beno..

I kept the basic shape of my headstock but I carved some extra decorations into it.

The price above includes case and shipping to North America.

Is this your 2A model Andy? Also, do you plan on making a 2A model for your negras?

Andy,
One of my students (M.T.) is having a guitar made by you. What is your
new bracing pattern? I really like your aesthetics (both visually and aurally).
I also find your videos to be well-done and enjoyable.
I am really looking forward to playing his guitar when it arrives.

VietFlamenco, yes this is a 2a (premade rosette, etc)
I've been thinking about doing a 2a negra and what the pricing would be for that.

Thanks ralexander, maybe this weekend I'll record something.

gounaro, I think I looked it up once and it was $300-$400 or so. I'll check again.

Thanks Dennis! Here's a picture of the bracing. I'm not using this bracing for M.T.'s guitar mostly because of the piece of wood I'm using. It's really stiff cross-grain and I wanted to get out of its way with a simple 5-fan.

Thanks Schalli. It's a lot less Euros than dollars

Andy,
Nice picture. Are you using the 'extra' braces on all your future
guitars or on a case by case basis depending on the characteristics of
the particular piece of wood?
Is it safe to assume that you have added them for more sound production?
(If my questions are a nuissance, you can PM or just ignore them)
Take care,
Dennis

RE: New peghead Blanca for sale (in reply to Andy Culpepper

Dennis,
The diagonal braces in my new layout create more stiffness in the top across the grain. Combined with a thin top this makes a really lively guitar with potent, clear trebles and a crisp, percussive sound.
However, the piece of wood that I selected for M.T.'s top is pretty exceptional in that the natural cross-grain stiffness of the wood is the highest I've ever seen in a piece of spruce. It's from the Caucuses mountains. Also, the density is the lowest I've seen.
I felt that to accentuate the exceptional qualities of that top, I had to brace it really minimally across the grain, so I arrived at just 5 slightly splayed fan braces. (picture below) It's still as stiff as my more heavily braced tops and very lightweight! I think it will be really responsive.

Here's a new bit of audio:

http://www.foroflamenco.com/tm.asp?m=168121&p=1&tmode=1&smode=1

Some other stats about the guitar:

Total weight: 1240 grams (very light!)

Action: 3.0 bass - 2.8 treble
Nut width: 52.5 mm
String spacing at nut: 44 mm
String height at bridge: 7.8 mm

Make me an offer if you're interested.
