I took a look at the "other" forum, and judging from the quality of the comments so far, one would be forgiven for thinking it is a forum for pre-adolescents. There are lots of four-letter words, a big "whoo whoo" from someone who posted while drunk, and generally the kind of stuff 12- to 14-year old boys think is really impressive. Ironically, it serves to confirm just how necessary adult supervision is for some people. Simon and his crew definitely run the serious, adult forum. We all should be grateful. Cheers, Bill

so far myself and Jason are responsible for most of the posts, im posting lots of youtube video's and trying to put a lot of that stuff in one place sort of like a playlist, by making posts for each artist and i have started a series of theory lessons for complete beginners (but there are little bits of my humour thrown in and some language) im a mod over there, ive got some experience with being staff on forums. but i am a beginner with flamenco and am mainly at the site because its another place where i can learn (this foro is the best resourse i know of, and i think jasons will compliment it nicely) jason has been posting lessons and stuff that he had on his computer and im sure he will slowly build an awesome resource making helpful imformative posts takes time, as a lot of you know from experience, and the forum will be quiet for a while, its only new silly posts just for fun are really quick and easy though, so it builds up fast at the start of a new forum with no rules now there is also the "pre adolescent" element to the site, it is there very intentionally, and the first page tries to make it really obvious what you will come across if you read further, so if you are offended by that stuff its not the place for you. the good side of the "no rules" though, is if you saw something there you dont like, you can say it in your own words, and direct it straight at who you want to, not many other people have posted yet, the dust is settling I cant speak for Jason, but i really hope that some people from here would come and help us to build the resourse. speaking from personal experience its hard being a beginner around here, and outside of all the fun and games Jason has given beginners like myself a dedicated forum for whatever we want to use it for if anyone is offended by anything that i post, i am sorry but please understand if you read that forum, there is a lot of stuff thats sarcastic and it can get pretty R rated.
