What pop music thinks flamenco is

I was browsing youtube for vids. I only watched the vid from 4:30 to 5:00. At 4:50 you can see Pacos sign on the guitar... i wanted to chunder.

You probably know this casting "show", its pretty much worldwide.

And the dancing.. well when seeing that it makes it less painful to accompany flamenco dance whenever i feel bored, uninspired or frustrated with dance i will think of this...

All jokes aside, i think this SHOWS how important a fakemenco list is. People need the knowledge that this is all fake. I say make a webpage of fakemenco videos and right next to it post the real flamenco stuff, maybe where those fakes took the inspiration from (ie fake taranta vs real one, fake bulerias vs real one etc), and what you will get is a better world everybody is free to choose what he likes, but it has to be stated when its a fake.

It would have been perfect if the dancer would have been naked. Maybe next round?

The thing that confuses me about this is that the guitarist is obviously technically incompetent and you don't really need to know anything about flamenco to realize that.

....gotta get a hat like that! And the barefoot dancer is a great idea. Eliminates all that distracting shoe noise.
