coming soon the new Carlos Saura fil...
Cant wait to see this. A snap shot of flamenco at the top. This trailer gives tantalising glimpses of Moraito dancing, Estrella Morente dancing, the younger brother of Farruiquito El Carpeta and Farruquito too of course. Carmen Linares with a very flattering light making her look 20 years younger. Paco is in there too, not dancing

Im sure it will be great, but seeing the old chaps, Manolo, Paco, Tomatito that also appeared on the other flamenco film, i thought it would have been way cooler to give the younger guitarrists also a chance...
RE: coming soon the new Carlos Saura... (in reply to veet)
whos in there? i did see a group of 3 guitarrists but barely could recognize their faces as it appeared only 0.1 seconds. i also dont see the point of featuring known stars like paco, tomatito again and again and again. those who already have the most publicity get more and more of it, and those who need it, are cut short IMO. a little bit like with the money in the world.
if you wanna see tomatito, paco just go to youtube and you will DIE from the endless amount of videos. no need to produce another movie with them in it IMO.

I tend to agree with you Deniz, but then again this film, like the last one, is a snapshot of flamenco today and these guys are still out there playing and important. Its the same with the established dancers Sara Baras, Eva Yerbabuena and Farruquito.
Still let wait see when the film comes out who else is included.

OK watching that previous trailer it says it will be released in September next year unless I misheard which is possible as in this press release ( in English) it says November

Wow, thank you so much Kate! I actually used this video when explaining to some Administrators how much of an important figure Manolo is (thanks to you). Needless to say they are very excited!
I will be in Granada in June 2011 speaking at a conference, can you give me some recomendations as to good hotels (actually, cheap hotels ;p)? We will be there for 4-5 days. Or maybe a room we could rent, if you know of any. Thanks!
You are so lucky to live in such a beautiful city!
Best, JAR

You should watch out for Rocío Molina (1984) in Saura's new movie. Voted best bailaora by Spanish critics both in 2008 and 2009. And last week she won the Premio Nacional de Danza. Financial Times wrote, after a performance in New York earlier this year, that she "does with flamenco what Picasso did with the female nude".

Si tiene "Flamenco", es mucho mejor. "Flamenco, flamenco" está mal hecho. Luces, cámera, gusto: todos regular. No parece Saura, o él ha perdido los papeles.

I've been talking to Vera at the Peña in London about organizing (sorry, "organising") a showing, but I haven't heard any news about it lately! Am pretty excited to see it. The trailer looks beautiful!

Hi Guys,
Just to let you all know that there is a Blu-Ray edition of the Flamenco Flamenco movie from Carlos Saura. I believe they started selling it this week.
I'll be ordering mine one of these days.
Here is the link for the ones that are interested in getting this amazing film in Blue-Ray!!
