Paco de Lucia - Argentine Tangos

Here is a video of Argentine Tango that the title says is played by Paco de Lucia. The blurb says "Tango Flamenco" but clearly it's Argentine Tango. It's accompanied by some great photos and paintings. Does anyone know if this in on a CD, and if so, the title?

Does anyone know if Paco has ever recorded any of the famous Argentine Tangos like "La Cumparsita" and "El Choclo" etc.

This is "Tango Flamenco" by Armik not Paco.

Thanks. I wasn't sure if that was Paco. That's why I said "the title says is played by Paco de Lucia." Do you know if Paco has ever recorded any of the well known Argentine Tangos?

The only Argentine tango by Paco I know of is found on Dos Guitarras Flamencas en America Latina(1967) with Ramon called "Tomo y Obligo"

La Cumparsita is a very nice tango especialy when played by Juanjo Dominguez

Cuerdasdulces, , I always loved his approach with this particular tango from "Dos Guitarras Flamencas en America Latina." I recorded this some time ago based off his arrangement with Ramon.

Careful doit, weren't you they guy wonder which other chord goes with a G chord?

And regarding Zyrab and paco's "new" falsetas.....

I love your playing style there jg!

Very confident, direct, secure, effortless and actually very reminiscent of Paco's own style at the time.

(Especially the little seamless transition from picado into a perfect tremelo!
