oh, I expect it to be the "normal" if not the "deluxe" version: Luxembourg has a thriving Spanish scene and is one of Europe's Metropoles. And they subvention Art!
quote:
how come if you're under 27 years old in Luxembourg you get a children's discount
That's probably because with 27 nowadays you're still a kid (i.e. living with your parents, having mom do your washing etc )

Yeah Ed,
It's a sad world for young folk in this post-credit crunch period...
Before the Banks screwed it up, you could live as a child in Luxembourg until 27, then move to Greece and retire at 53.
That's the way to do it!
Actually, I read that in the "old" Greece if you had a Civil Service job, you could retire at 38...so um... 38-27 =11 years of actually having to get up in the morning......
Cool!... Live the hippy dream!

those were the days my friend ...
However we have a retirement-scheme here, where you can work for roughly 80% of your normal pay for half of the time 'til regular retirement age, then stay home for the rest of the time, still getting your 80% until normal retirement, when you get your pension...

Better still Ed...
Get a job as a British MP!
Since the election, Gordon Brown the ex-Prime Minister has been sitting at home and watching the whole of the World Cup and thinking about writing a book...while getting paid £65,000 a year plus expenses by the taxpayers as a "regular" MP, employed to represent the local issues of the people in his area, which he is clearly not doing.
(Apparently the only time he spent a day in London this week was with some cronies to discuss his future in big industry)
Where else in Civvy Street can you get that kinda deal?

So I stood in line and grabbed two tickets for €15.- each. Lousy seats (I could've spit on Alain Perez' head) interesting perspective though. Paco's gone a long way, since his first performances back in the early 70s! I saw one of his (if not the) first concerts in Germany with him an Ramon playing in a small church back then...
All in all it was a great experience. I never realized you could play flamenco on the harmonica... And, my wife who isn't really into flamenco, was really impressed
