A unique workshop and performance op...

Seeking musicians and singers to study in Flamenco Latino's collaborative workshop, FLAMENCO MUSIC ENSEMBLE.
Improve your ensemble performance skills in this creative workshop! Led by Basilio Georges, this class offers a unique opportunity to study collaboratively and perform with other musicians and flamenco artists.

Thursdays, 7:30-9:30 PM at Flamenco Latino, 244 W 54th St., 4th fl.

$20/class OR $70/4-pack, Credit/debit cards accepted.

--Work on 2-6 arrangements including tangos, bulerías, soleá and rumba to be performed at Flamenco Latino's large studio theater in the spring.

--Seeking 2-3 flamenco guitarists, 2-3 singers, percussion and other instruments in string or woodwind family.

--Non-flamenco instruments will need some reading experience.

--Instrumentalists or guitarists who have not studied at Flamenco Latino before will have to audition.

The course will conclude with a flamenco ensemble concert on Sunday,
April 25th, 2010 at the Flamenco Latino Studio Theater.

With over 30 years of professional experience, Basilio Georges offers an incredible mix of traditional and modern Flamenco styles and techniques, and is also able to work with written music or tablature. Fluent in Spanish, he has lived and worked in Spain and accompanied many well known artists throughout his career.
