strumming pattern

Does anyone know the finger pattern for the strumming intro of tango flamenco (carlos montoya). I am trying to transcribe it, but I am not able to find the right finger sequence to produce this strumming.
Thanks.

Hi Tristan

Just in case that's not clear (no offence Henrik), what H. is suggesting is that you record a clip of the tango you want to transcribe as an mp3 file, then upload it to the forum so we can have a listen and suggest how its played.

Hi Tristan!

It is a triplet pattern.
There are a few ways to do it, but the most common way, and the way the "vintage" guys did this is:

P - up
m - down
p - down

( P= thumb....m=midle finger)

You do this with relaxed fingers from the wrist, and repeate the pattern.
Practice it slow, and make it faster as you control the movement, it takes a while to get it real nice.

Good luck!

Peter
