Favourite letras

Norman suggested a while ago we could have a favourite letras thread. Sorry these are a bit miserable - I'm off work sick, on my second course of antibiotics this week - so feeling a bit sorry for myself. They are included in Lorca's In Search of Duende. They are both seguiriyas and include some words in Calo.

De noche me sargo ar patio
y me jarto de llorá
en vé que te quiero tanto
y tú no me quieres ná

At night I go to the courtyard
and cry my heart out,
to see I love you so much
and you love me not at all.

Si mi corazón tuviera
Birieritas e cristar,
te asomaras y lo vieras
gotas de sangre llorar.

If my heart
had windowpanes of glass,
you'd look inside and see it
crying drops of blood.

Here's another. It's a five-liner, so it's good for fandangos, malagueñas, granaínas, cantes mineros... It usually starts with the second line followed by lines 1-5 for a total of six.

del cante se ha dicho tanto
que yo no se qué decir
la poesía de un fandango
no la puedo resumir
yo canto y estoy llorando

So much has been said about cante
I don't know what to say
I can't express in just a few words
the poetry of a fandango
I sing and I'm crying
