In Granada there is a lot of competition for teaching work, they usually ask that you not only have a teaching qualification but also teaching experience of at least two years and that you speak Spanish. The pay is pretty lousy and usually only part time available, ie no contract.

Living on 600 - 800 euros is cutting it a bit fine, depending on how much rent ( 300 upwards) you pay and what sort of lifestyle you expect. You would be just below the bread line which is considered to be 1,000 a month.

Things to do in Spain, well down South the Alhambra is a must see, as is the Mezquita of Cordoba, also the Flamenco festivals in the Triangle, the Fallas de Valencia where you should eat Paella, Semana Santa in any Southern town, surfing in the Atlantic, skiing in the Sierra, trekking in the mountains, walking in the desert, a pilgrimage to Santiago, dancing all night in the caves of the Sacromonte. There are so many things to do. It all depends on what you like.

Buena suerte amigo

Grumble.... it was only 800 when I was there I lost count of the number of flyers offering private English lessons in Granada city - including classes from the Japanese.
