Ha! If I'm ever in doubt about a word having one 'L' or two 'S'..etc. I always put in one more just to be safe.

Thanks for that, but that information, or theory rather, has been around for many years. No new info there... testing string theory requires energies beyond that capable by humans for now, or perhaps EVER or anyone else existing in this little universe... therefore theories like these will remain forever trapped as abstract complex mathematical hypothesis. Guth was like "yeah we can make a universe in the lab that will cut off from ours and be unobservable and grow exponentially...". WTF

Meanwhile, back to reality, I am patiently waiting for data to be collected by the LHC, and studied over the next few years. That will be interesting with some concrete info resulting in some answers as well as new questions.

These guys have really overlooked the possibility of PERPENDICULAR universes. That would really be more useful if you think about it. Then we could go from one to the other. Parallel is super lame...

Problem with that is we'd all end up going there without wanting to.

lets hope that they can fix all the problems soon (since last year it is out of order)
because of some cooling problem and it will start again soonest Sep. 2009.

Did you know that there were lawsuits against it?
Some "scientists" were/are afraid that it could create a small black hole, consuming the whole planet.

Beam me up Scotty!

For everyone who would like to know what Maissam prefers, here is a description:

A number of consequences over the people living in perpendicular universes.

* They can live only on the top side of a given planet, else they might fall. If the planet is revolving around itself, they have to move fast enough to keep always on the top.
* People crawl instead of walking.
* Only very drunk people are actually able to stand and walk, due to the disorientating effects of alcohol.
* Tables and chairs are usually installed on the walls of the houses, and the doors are more wide than tall.
* Space travel is much easier going down than going up.
* Rain does not fall from the skies to the ground, but orbitates around the planet until it hits something (or someone). Drunk people know how to use this to their advantage.
* Spitting contests have been forbidden in all the worlds where creatures possess buccal orifices and saliva.
* Elected representatives are not left-wingers or right-wingers, but top-wingers or bottom-wingers. Sadly enough, they're not smarter than the ones in ordinary universes.

Once they fix the LHC I wonder if it would be possible to accelerate two CEOs from the Banking world up to almost the speed of light, smash them together, thus sending them into a Parallel Universe, their pockets stuffed with dodgy securities and toxic assets, which they would sell there and return with $50,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 of hard cash and save the World economy?

(And receive a huge bonus for their effort of course!)

If the experiment fails, then we just learn from experience, get another two and try again.

Science should be fun for all and this project would stimulate new interest surely?

The basic idea is good Ron. But its too sophisticated and i dont like the idea that they
will come back and the bonuses.

Here is a more simple but effective solution with the advantage, that such a Crisis will
never ever happen again:

How about just gathering up all those CEOs (plus all other wall street gamblers),
disposses all their property (which would be even more than $50000000000000000000),
then create a little black hole with the HLC and send them all in to that hole!

I like the idea in the name, 'Trans World Airlines!' but then again I like the idea some hippies had in the Sixties whole lot better, 'Trans Love Airlines!' and love is free isn't it? We can all do for some flying to another planet! Well, in bed anyway, or how about on the road or in the bushes??? Any one have a better idea about a parallel universe I can actually use?

gj, I have heard the flip side of that one. That is that though people do not believe in God, (and we don't have to at all,) does God believe in us and that we exist? Does he care, or are we not worthy of his presence simply by our flaws and he doesn't have the time for what he considers the one key element in creation that only uses his creation for our own personal gain, only to keep one another Godless, amongst the very wrath of the human condition, which is ignorance, or lack of education on the matter? I don't care what people think, but I know that you shouldn't second guess God.

The deeper you delve in to the mysteries of Science, the more reasonable belief in a higher being becomes. That is no mystery, and a belief widely held by most Scientists, Doctors, Physicists, theorists and the like. So now I'm the one in question, well, I don't care about that either! And I don't make the rules, I only just do what I want.
