RE: FINAL Solea challenge for beginners (in reply to El Camino

Good question, we forgot to sort that out last time too!

To get the most benefit I think we should do it without capo, but as long as we all do the same I guess it doesn't matter. Anyone got any preferences?

Welcome cathulu! Well you may find this quite easy, but there's never any harm in going over stuff that you know and making sure it's as good as you can get it. Send a PM to at_leo_87 and he'll give you the tab.

RE: FINAL Solea challenge for beginners (in reply to Ailsa

i think we should go without capo. it's good to get your hands used to stretching. like ailsa said, you would get the most benefit.

if it's difficult for you, work at it with capo 2nd fret. a week later, move it to 1st fret. then finally, no capo.

As per andresito's recommendation, I am forever banned from beginner challenges. So, do it for the motherland!

In the meantime, I am going to go embarass myself with Buleriando, for the fun of it.

You go Alex! Take it up to those punks in the intermediate class!
Congrats again, it was a good effort to come in late and do so well
I didn't think anyone took my banning proposal seriously

Hey, so I was listening to the recording and it is not in tight compas, it is a bit too elastic in my opinion. Where did this recording come from?

RE: FINAL Solea challenge for beginners (in reply to cathulu

it's from the cd that comes with the gerhard-graf martinez books played by gerhard himself.
it's a solea so compas is maybe slightly stretched a bit here and there. but it's still pretty straight forward.

OMG what have I done?

OK don't panic, we've got six weeks, we can do it.

Meanwhile there's a bit I can't figure out! Can't upload an image here so am going to make a new thread called Help Reading tabs please!

There is one thing that might be problem for someone.. I got your new tabs, in two different files, I downloaded them but when I tried to open them, my MAC didn't recognize them. So I added the file-type into the name solea --> solea.jpg and after that no problem.
