Why would we laugh? (snicker) I like the sound of the Paso Doble better than Sevillanas.

This reminds me of Baz Luhrmann's Strictly Ballroom. About a ballroom dancer who wants to dance his own steps, and in the process learns a bit of "real" Paso Doble from Antonio Vargas, as opposed to that afeminado stuff they learn in ballroom classes.

His expression when the Spaniards laugh at him is priceless. Kind of a nice metaphor for peopel coming from Ottmar to real flamenco.

Pasodoble is the basic music which the band plays during the corrida. There are CDs of this music, without any singing.

sorry, i know i'm not Ricardo, but just can't help posting up here that the gerardo track is called "tabaco y oro" and is on the "Calima" cd [;)]

i have no idea if it would be any good to dance to tho'[&:]
