Billyboy -> D'Addario Hard tension (Jun. 7 2004 18:34:39)

I use Hard tension D' Addario EJ46 I think, on my Sanches, but they are way too floppy, is there a big differance between them and the extra hard tension, If not what would be the make of a really hard tension string.
Thanks
Dave

duende -> RE: D'Addario Hard tension (Jun. 7 2004 19:26:10)

I used extra hard(d´darrio) for 4years then i changed to medium tension.
I found that i get a better flamenco tone with mediums and my rasgueados sounds much better. The thing i miss about not useing extra hard is the volume.

Ive heard the differance between the Dadrio hard and extra hard ain't much difference, what I need is the hardest of the hard, even then I don't think they would feel too hard as those R Sanches guitars, when you lower the action feel really slack,
Cheers
Dave
