Going to Madrid on a very short business trip on the 15th: only two nights. I believe I will have a couple of hours of freedom at some point.

Which one guitar shop should i visit if any, the Conde Hermanos on Felipe V, or Ramirez or any suggestions... any such shop worth a visit?

becarefull if you try other guitars it might be imposible to get back to yours..

thats what happened to me once...I thought i was happy with my guitar then i made the mistake of trying another guys ...a Maldonaldo...i wasent happy for a long time lol i went from beeing content to hating my guitar in 2 minutes ...guitar was the same but i hated everything that came out of it..

sometimes its best to just not know [:D]

lol... no, no such thing unless i want to find the house empty and my wife on route to hague-convention-exempt country!!!

i just want be a kid in a candy store, for a while. i hear you on not trying any new guitar... i may end up buying it, particularly if business were to succeed, i would excuse the expenditure rather quickly.

Also agree that i shouldn't chance spoiling my love for my conde.

Sean, thank you. any info abut it. i am not familiar with his work.

Hola gj

The ex officials of the Casa Ramirez form the Madrid school. To become an official, you had to present 2 perfect guitars to the maestro, so anyone who made it that far was very competent. Some of them preferred to dedicate themselves to classical guitar, e.g. Contreras, Bernabe, some to flamenco, e.g. Pedro, Miguel, José Romero.

I consider José one of the best guitar builders in Spain.

Suerte

Thank you Sean, it may make it more interesting to check out a luthier i do not know. Always love to be surprised.
hasta luego
