Scott Tennant comes up occasionally as a resource so I thought I’d post this YouTube link to a song he introduces as a tremolo study. The song starts at about 7 minutes 45 seconds. He’s really precise and it produces an interesting effect.

Looks like the normal classic p ami tremolo.. no?

I remember I saw some good picado and other technic lessons by him on youtube. His comments were very good and helpful IMO. In the background was some equipment from a fitness club.. ..? But great videos!

He's actually won some high level competitions, IRC. He's definitely a high level player.

Scott’s really precise with his tremolo and produces a slap back effect--so I would assume it’s an even number of notes (pami).

He’s testing guitars in this series of videos and the makers are in the audience. After watching this series I was left with the impression he could play hundreds of similar pieces from memory.

The instructional video he is famous for is entitled “Pumping Nylon” and he mentions PDL in the picado section of the video. Scott demonstrates his version of rasgueo to help develop picado. He believes that Flamenco players have the fastest picado because rasgueo develops their ability to return their fingers to the starting position faster than only practicing picado alone.
