Hello,

I just found a free online metronome which is good for basic compas.

It is pretty basic, but you can control the beats per cycle and accent certain beats so it is good for compas practice...

Hope you find it useful:

It seems to not be perfectly steady. Be careful practicing with an unsteady metronome. It can do more harm than good.

Hi Jason,

I've noticed the same thing - it depends on your operating system...

Sounds unsteady on my xp desktop and fine on my vista laptop!

I'm on Mac OSX 10.5.......

Another problem is that it only goes up to 220. I need faster.[:)]

Its a java app and doesn't get "priority" with the computer processor. If the OS has something else it needs to do....... the timing gets off.

easily fixed in windows if you shift processor priority to background applications.
