Miguel and Ron, I'm alive and well and living about 5 kms. outside of Moron de la Frontera. Thanks for asking. I don't have a phone in my house, so my access to the Internet is very limited. I went through withdrawal syndrome the 1st month, but I'm recovering. I've become very aware of how much time I used to spend on the Internet. It may sound good that I live near Moron, but the truth is that I haven't been to any Flamenco performances or taken any lessons in the 4 months I've been living here.My problem has always been - when I have the time I don't have the money and when I have the money I don't have the time.[&:] There's a great fiesta today in Moron - Jose Merce, Luis Zambo, Moraito, Paco del Gastor, Daniel Mendez, Miguel's friend Eduardo Rebollar and more. Unfortunately, it's open to pena members only. I kept putting off joining and finally went over on Friday to sign up only to be told that they aren't accepting any new members until AFTER today's fiesta. They're worried that there won't be enough room for everybody. If it wasn't for bad luck I wouldn't have any luck at all.[:(] I'm planning on going to the Potaje Gitano festival in Utrera later this month and I just found out today that they're almost sold out of tickets and I can't find out where to buy the tickets. So, here I am in Spain and Ron has probably seen more Flamenco in Scotland than I have. As for guitar lessons - I still can't play half the material I got from El Carbonero. So I'm not really looking for lessons. What I'd really like to do is learn cante accompaniment. One of these days I'll have to ask Estela if she can hook me up with someone. This is getting kind of long. I bet that now you're sorry you asked how I was. [:D] Take care and keep practicing. Phil PS. Has anyone heard from Melchor recently?
