Arash -> Bulerias (Rondena key) (Dec. 7 2008 12:57:08)

Just found this Vid and thought that some of you might like this too (specially Dominic [;)] ).
I think this guy has some really nice ideas for a bulerias in Rondena tuning

(Hey Flo, he is also from Australia....do you know him?)

XXX -> RE: Bulerias (Rondena key) (Dec. 7 2008 14:56:00)

its sounds very natural.. just as good as any other "pro" composition. i say this because he is way too modest in his description in my eyes.

Arash -> RE: Bulerias (Rondena key) (Dec. 7 2008 15:02:16)

I bet there are quite a few unknown good (and maybe a little bit shy) players out there, hiding in their rooms and composing excelent music ...

XXX -> RE: Bulerias (Rondena key) (Dec. 7 2008 15:09:30)

absolutely... just watch the youtube entries on the foro here.. you do a pretty good job in spotting unknown but good (if not very good) guitarists on youtube by the way [:D][;)]
i just cant believe that this guy is from australia and flo hasnt heard of him? i know everybody in my near that does flamenco in a way or another.

Hi Arash thanks for the link, he sounds great. I dont know him either but i know the guy he works with, Cameron. http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewProfile&friendID=205619579
Cameron is a very good guitarist too, i bought a gig guitar off him...then sold it back to him a year later[:D] He has actually sold that same guitar twice and bought it back twice[:D][:D][8|][&:]...i think it was a love hate relationship.

Wow, that's really nice. Very tasteful playing and a cool sound. Thanks for digging it up.

Ron.M -> RE: Bulerias (Rondena key) (Dec. 8 2008 1:56:57)

I like this guy!
I love the way the piece moves...his golpe sound...his overall tone...his lyrical touch...
He leaves me with a real positive feeling like Diego del Morao's stuff.

I'd be happy to listen to this track as a normal "professional" piece of work.

(I can still hear the tune in my head!)

Great!

cheers,

Ron

Then a friend played me some music of Paco de Lucia and it changed my life, there was no turning back after that!

Is there any flamenco guitar player out there who did not start learning flamenco guitar after hearing recordings from Paco?[:D]....i dont think so....

Ricardo -> RE: Bulerias (Rondena key) (Dec. 8 2008 5:49:52)

Wow, great rhythm and musicality. I like those cyclic melodies that keep driving on. Only thing is, he needs to rematar, or close up and book end his falsetas, to punctuate. But that is just me.

I'm going to revive this old thread, since it has some nice names like "Ron" here :)

I reached out to Kris in Australia and he kindly did a nice tutorial of his Rondena Buleria.

Jeff
