El Craic -> Diego Amador (Jun. 1 2004 21:31:11)

Diego Amador (my future partner, oh yes if only) is playing in Manchester tomorrow night at the instituto cervantes. http://www.cervantes.org.uk/new_index.html

I only mention it coz no one else has. If it wasn't the middle of the week and so far away and if i didn't have chickenpox - which is the worst nightmare i ever did have, I actually woke up this morning still wearing motorcycle gloves which is a good sign, and thought it was the school holidays, talk about reverting to childhood - I would be going.

El C,
Is he the Flamenco piano player from Jerez?
If so, I heard him on Ondajerez in the Festival de OtoƱo last year.
So what's this about "future partner"?
Is he a good looking guy or what?
(My 56k connection only had a postage stamp size picture)
(Or has he just got a sexy way of tinkling the ivories?)
Sorry to hear of the chicken pox Emma.
I hear it always hits you worse getting it when your older. (than a schoolkid)
Least it gives you a chance to snuggle up to that hot water bottle after a "wee tot" and slip on your headphones and drift away.....ahh!

cheers

Ron

hello ron it's ok i'm on day 5 of solitary. I lost my marbles 3 days ago and now i'm happily resigned in my madness. but at least i could take the gloves off today. My housemate's won't let me out of my room i have to phone the house phone from my mobile to ask for water but at least i can send them to the shop and forget stuff and send them again. Simple things....

Diego is the youngest of the amador brothers of seville who did that pata negra stuff that i missed out on but have listened to bits online although won't be buying any just yet but i'll try again from time to time. I saw him in jerez with fergus in 2003 and that was my introduction to him.

It's very jazzy, you'd need to be into jazz i grew up with it although never fell in love with it. I don't generally like fusion but i like this guy. He's an incredible pianist, very fluent and great voicings.

Is Diego Amador good-looking? Is Dr Paisley a Prod? Mind you I have appalling taste in men.

Well I'm off for a sheep-dip see you later...
