Cheers guys, impatience has the better of me, so I will ask a few quick questions while I'm here. -Can anyone recommend any good reading re: more cultural aspects of flamenco rather than just playing styles - things like song forms, some more information about compas and some historical notes would be interesting to get hold of. I realise some of these things are discussed in the second Graf-Martinez book, but any other suggestions would be great. -Does 'proper' flamenco music (when transcribed) give any notes about what left hand techniques to use for different rhythmic groups, or is it solely down to interpretation? I use 'proper' to refer to notation that is not in a tuition book, which most likely will include notes like this. I think that's it for now - I will continue to search and browse. Fingers crossed I should have a new guitar arriving in the next couple of days, so some intense practice will be needed to justify it! [:)] Edit - I should probably say hola! to any UK members, and any intermusic/MusicRadar louts if you're about just incase.
