all the "Depth" Sorrow and "Torment" that Cante Jondo" has....... No prob.. That would just be Jondo Spanglestrumming. Along with Libre Spanglestrumming and Alegre Spanglestrumming, this musical form is akin to caffeine-free coffee or alcohol-free beer or wine in that it is low in Flamenco content (compás, form and tradition), while still maintaining the same full flavour and aroma of the guitar. It is also much healthier to learn, as it's plain 4/4 and 3/4 rhythms prevent the stress and frustration involved in trying to assimilate traditional compás and form, while still being able to enjoy rasgueado and picado techniques etc. It also has the advantage of no pre-defined Flamenco tone quality, so can be played on Flamenco Guitar, Classical Guitar, Steel-String Acoustic Guitar or Electric Guitar, and be combined freely with numerous other instruments. The biggest advantage though, is that it can be played without all those annoying Flamenco aficionados, with sticks up their butts keeping reminding you that "it's not Flamenco". You just say..." Eh??...Who said anything about Flamenco, pal?....This is a Spanglestrumming concert... you IDIOT!" [:D][:D] cheers, Ron
