Matic -> RE: What is the minimum level of Spanish I would need for Gerardo's course? (Sep. 22 2008 13:07:12)

Man, no need to worry! I have never taken any serious Spanish class or anything, I only know some words I picked up from listening to cante. It was the problem at first because they don't sing about ordering the food and stuff (how I love my mother was of no use[:D]) but you can get along with body language if you really run out of words. As Ricardo said, once you meet with others in Sanlucar, you're safe. I didn't have any troubles anywhere else either, I flew to Sevilla and took the bus to Sanlucar (without any problems!) So, no need to worry. The classes are in Spanish. Gerardo doesn't (want to) speak english[:)] Which, again, is no reason to worry because all you really need to know are these phrases: ahora mas despasito Y UN DOS tres... por ejemplo - dedo medio... y ahora tu! (then you have to play unplayable never-heard-before Gerardo's falseta in front of all students) No need to worry[:D][:D]
