Well, I watched the weather forecast, which somehow needed to be accompanied by music and graphics and a gushing presenter in case nobody would be able to take on this important information without every sort of visual and aural aid.

Next, there was a programme about "Survival in the Sahara".
At a point, the presenter, crawling on his hands and knees and gasping breathlessly at the camera, said "In the Sahara you need about 1 litre of water per hour, otherwise you are going to DIE!
Look, this little flask is all I've got....If I don't find a source of water soon...then I'm afraid I've had it...I'm already feeling the first symptoms of dehydration.

Now this is despite the Film Cameraman, Sound Recordist, Director, Make-Up Artist and Drivers/Roadies and Helicopter Back-up.

Do people really watch this crap and believe it?

Even the programmes are like the commercials....Jeez!

What a world.

cheers,

Ron

Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

Well, I had my weekly hour of watching TV and was blown away this time!
It was a channel supported by commercials.
You know how folk are always complaining about life and stuff..
Then no more!
These people have dedicated their lives to helping you! Honestly!
No matter what your problem is, be it choosing just the right furniture, or the right product for your hair, or the sports car you've always wanted, or being totally in debt, or simply just dying of cancer...
These people really want to help you...
And it works! (Otherwise they would not have said so.)
It's their dedicated live's work!
I love the really dissonant music they play to show the problem..
And the heavenly "music of the spheres" and soft reassuring voices to show you how easily it's all solved by simply dialling a number!

I think this computer stuff has gone on long enough.
Tune back to TV and find an easy and practical answer to everything!
As I said.....Wowed out! [:D]

cheers,

Ron
