hi all [:)] does anyone own one of theese, i was looking at taking the action down, is it simply like you do on normal guitars or does the bridge contain the pick up? any help would be rewarded with a virtual beer, or if you are near a real one. the bridge looks a bit fancy to me

I have a variax 300 electric. It has a piezo pickup under each saddle. It does a pretty good job of emulating a steel string acoustic. I heard a recording of a guy who strung his with nylon strings and it sounded convincing when recorded. It was in a classical style though. The company has some interesting stuff but to me they seem to be more into releasing new stuff and less into quality control and customer service. I don't personally think they will be major players much longer unless they change.
