THis may be old news to all of you, I am a beginner so I do not have any idea how correct all this is, but it appears to be good info. I have the Juan Martin books/DVD's/CD's and the Graf Martinez Book/DVD/CD but his is cool to watch this guy on youtube.com:

his name on youtube is "hersoveela" and the website is:
http://herso.freeservers.com/tabs.html

Be sure to check out the free Ebooks in the upper list. His name is Sal Bonavita.

Also check out this young lady on youtube that goes by: csybu (from what I read of some of her posts, she has learned a lot from "hersoveela".

Fun stuff, let me know what you think-and how authentic all this is, I am just starting(just purchased a Yamaha CF171SF)

thanks
Daryl

Yeh I been having a look. Pretty good stuff there. He certainly has a way with it. And not full of himself either.

Hi guys,

Yeah, I admire Sal for his approach to provide info for flamenco guitar players. He's a pretty good player himself.

I haven't been learning/playing flamenco for too long and started out with Juan Martin's teaching book/DVD/CD. It is well written material, easy to follow, sounds great for beginners. His material helped me a lot. I also use Juan Serrano's book/CD "Flamenco Guitar Basic Techniques" as well as the intermediate/advanced book "Guitar Journals Flamenco" by Ioannis Anastassakis. This book contains 6 original concert length pieces. Last but not least it is well worth checking out Adam del Monte's flamenco guitar lessons on https://www.newlearningvision.com/ . This guy just rocks! He also has some videos on YouTube.

Cheers,
Dan.

Sal is an unsung hero in my opinion.

Yeh ya right there ted. As a re-born newbie I mailed him about the triplet rasgueado which I am having no end of trouble getting my head round (Guitar nearly merged with wall) and he replied within the day bless him. And what he suggested helped a great deal.

As for Juan Martin, I saw him when he came up to York a good few years back. Personally I think he is great. Got a video and book which I never used. Is the DVD El arte de flamenco (or something along those lines)?????
