This is Andy Robinson a young Scottish guitarist that I just think is great.
Recorded at last year's Edinburgh Festival with his group.

Andy's 25. He learned using i-a picado when he studied classical guitar and sometimes he reverts to it. He also now uses i-m.

He's definitely a find. There were moments when it was thrilling to watch and hear him play.

I thought classical instructors were stricter than flamenco players when it can to this stuff. Do flamenco guitarists look down on players who use ia picado? It's so much easier than im picado.

I believe Sabicas played picado with ia.

Hi John,

I was simply saying he played i-a when he was playing classical guitar. He started i-m when he becoming interested in flamenco, about 2 years ago.
I find i-a really hard to do probably because I don't practice it.
