Has anybody used the Klingon removable flamenco tap plates, if so what did they think of them?

For those unfamiliar with this product, there basically a tap plate which holds on to the guitar using static.

There is a better, sturdier product available at Stings By Mail: Rokkomann Guitar Guard

I ordered the Klingon from Strings By Mail about a year ago. I haven't had any problems with it. It's protected my guitar well and hasn't hurt the guitar at all. I've got a Burguet 3 so it's got thick lacquer finish versus a French Polish or nytro.

They recommend removing the tap plate after use to avoid problems but I've left mine on for weeks at a time with no ill effects.

I don't have experience with the other brand recommended above but it looks similar.
