AndrewE -> Soundboard wrinkles (Feb. 4 2008 17:42:12)

I'm presently build to the Reyes plan put out by T.Blackshear and have found that that after bracing I having a small amount of S/B wrinkling between fan braces(concaved, inwards towards the back). I read on his website that the little blocks b/n the braces were possible to help reduce this(no such luck).

What could be causing this wrinkling?

- Hide glue too watery?
- Too much bracing pressure?

In future i'm thinking of bracing with the lower half the s/b a little thicker and thinning it down once braced.

Also considering a hide glue rub join for the fan braces, as opposed to go bar method.

I'm hoping the bridge will pull some off it out and with a little bit of sanding for the finish, it may not be too noticable?

Any ideas what's going on?
