I have one of these, and it can be pretty good, if you play with the guitar on the left leg classical style, and use a foot stool or a guitar support of some sort. I use a Dynarette, which works well for classical/flamenco guitars, steel string acoustics if they are not too big, and even some electrics. It can also work if you play with the guitar on the right leg, elevated by a foot stool, Dynarette or other support. However, if you cross your right leg over your left, you feel like you are about to fall over the edge, as the part you sit on is cut away on the right side. The advantage of using a guitar support (rather than a foot stool or crossing your legs) is that your feet can rest flat on the floor, both at the same level. Many people find this easier on the back.
