A more powerul picado than most ive ever heard.
Very muscular. I dont know if its because he's a "big" man,
but he has very "heavy hands", as they say in Boxing.
Natural power.

Up there with Paco imho.

Yeah the guys picado is great, hes very Paco influenced, his last album is full of different versions of Paco's stuff.

No, its not like you say. He likes Pacos style and is heavyly influenced by Pacos compositions. But he never recorded Pacos compositions just a little different. Many persons told in past that hes not very creative and just has talent of technics. But these persons were just jealous IMO. Hes very creative and a very hard working man.
The buleria of his latest album sounds a bit in the direction of a bulerias of "cositas buenas" but its totally different. Ok , here and there he uses small frases which we heared from Paco.. but thats the way it goes as I read in a different threat.

Hermanos Sanchis Lopez for sure.

lol, I wasent saying it in a demeaning way, but he obviously is very Paco influenced and u can hear it in his music, not saying hes copying him, but u can hear it, mibe i used the wrong words when i said different "versions" but u know what i mean, even the spirit of the music is very Paco.

its a compliment if anything

i think hes great

Hi Jim,

as far as i know, this must be the "Rafael Cortes" Model from Hnos. Sanchis Lopez which is about 2400 Euros with Cypress and 2800 Euros with brasilian Rosewood.

(This is a new Model which they made together with Rafael Cortes and now sell it under this Model name)

The Aim was to achive a similar sound to old Condes.

However, i am sure that this is a Especial (EXTRA) Model and a bit better and more expensive than the standard Rafael Cortes Models.

Arash,
Thanks for putting those links up.
IMO?
Astonishing player!
The power and control without looking in the least uneasy....
The guy is gifted.
This is how the Flamenco guitar should sound IMO!

cheers,

Ron

No prob Florian.[;)] I just wanted to write something...

Rafael is a great player but I dont like the Sanchis model wich got his name. The guitars have high tension and are a bit hard to play. Also the trebles arent very brilliant. Well... with his technics he needs guitars which are hard to get any sound out of it, coz hes so strong. When I gave him my old blanca he played it and the attac was much too extreme. And when I play a guitar which he usually uses.. I have problems to hit the **** out of it. And thats the same with these blanca Sanchis guitars. They arent loud and they are a bit hard to play IMO.

Well,..I dont like Sanchis guitars anyway.
