hello chaps,

i think the alegrias thread has dies, so i think we should make progress on some BULERIAS everyones favorite

as always i ask for your contributions, only you can make this happen!

Here's the public television fundraiser pitch:

a contribution gets you a citation on everything you contribute,

a spot in the artist profile portion of the book (I think a page should be enough for a full photo and text, we'll see how things fit)

with a picture of you (and your guitar of course) as well as a small bio and a link to your sites.

I can also send you a printed copy, nicely bound.

mind you i'm not trying to sell you anything, and I know all of your stuff is spoken for. I'm just looking to see if you'd be interested =)

if you want anything else, you let me know and i can arrange it for you.

Ricardo -> RE: Bulerías the real book (Jan. 7 2008 17:12:59)

Por medio: A chord as letra begins.

Dm on 10, Stay on Dm next compas or through count 6 at least.

(E7 on 12)

C7 barre 1st fret 7-9, F on 10
Bb on 12, C on 2, Bb on 4, A rasgueado 7-10.

(C7 7-9, F on 10 Bb on 12, C on 2, Bb on 4, A rasgueado 7-10. )

The chords in () are only if the line of verse repeats. In the case of E7, you only go there if the voice hits a B natural.

Some palmas patterns would be good too.

Ricardo knows all of them.

Sorry, my pc internet was down, making a litlle zip files with some usefull stuff,

eg. scales, cante chords , chord substitutes etc.

I got the Affedis exact transcription of a Buleria Quique Paredes does with Vicente Soto (concurso de Cordoba 1989), the words and the exact chords and changes etc, its great it has alot of traditional cierres, litlle buleria accomp licks etc i used to have the audio for it too, but it was on a tape and i lost it, if anyone knows the one i am refering to and has the audio, it would be great, for this project and me also.

its perfect for practicing a fairly standard, trad buleria along side to the recording, with the exact fingering, patterns, chords, cierres written down.

if dosent solve all of someones accomp problems but its a great, standard buleria accomp start.

duende -> RE: Bulerías the real book (Jan. 8 2008 18:33:04)

in the bulerias gendai you got chords for letras and everything

HemeolaMan -> RE: Bulerías the real book (Jan. 8 2008 18:41:33)

someone mentioned mp3 examples for these a while ago

do you think we should do that too, i mean we could probably sell those.

after this is all over i'm going to ebook this thing and give it away

but i am also going to probably disable printing unless someone pays fee or i give them the password( ie you guys)

that way i can print up a softcover book and maybe include a cd with all the examples on it..........

thoughts????

duende -> RE: Bulerías the real book (Jan. 8 2008 19:54:19)

cool as long as we´re not riping some composer off (copying out of books)
the best for a letra would be if anyone sang along with the chords.

..like boy george maybe?

HemeolaMan -> RE: Bulerías the real book (Jan. 9 2008 8:31:03)

hemeolaman doesn't sing flamenco.

when he does sing (almost never) he is a counter tenor. his range is high. not good for flamenco letras.

make someone else do it. like boy george.
