HemeolaMan -> The Real book Project - Alegrias in any key (Dec. 31 2007 19:45:11)

the first chapter in the foro real book, each week or so i will post a new thread and we'll get a new chapter. simple really, you guys contribute ideas, i turn them into really sharp looking charts =)

Alright guys and gals, what do you know about alegrias in E?

any contributions welcomed! i really would love if someone grabbed a pencil and some staff paper and just rhythm'd out some strumming for the compas with golpe!

anyone who would like to contribute chords and fingerings also welcomed. falsetas are good too, but i think that the focus should be on straight compas.

thanks guys!

all contributions appreciated by the way. i dont want to seem like i dont want your falsetas, its just going to be hard for me to sort through all this stuff to find whats really representative thats all =)

save the page and email it to odonnell.kevin.7288@dupage.edu

please take an active role if you think this is a good idea and get involved, anything , as your involvment will enocourage others to do the same.

HemeolaMan -> RE: The Real book Project - Alegrias in any key (Jan. 3 2008 13:31:19)

How is it that we can have an 8 page argument about something that is entirely irrelevant, but we can't even scrape together a page worth of some flamenco stuff?

come on guys, alegrias, you can do it, its as easy as clicking My Documents>Tabs>alegrias

HemeolaMan -> RE: The Real book Project - Alegrias in any key (Jan. 3 2008 21:02:06)

I have the first alegrias written and in gp5 format. i would like it if some of you could proof read it for me, make sure everything is okay

either email me or reply to this post

duende -> RE: The Real book Project - Alegrias in any key (Jan. 4 2008 2:53:08)

I´ve played it just now. i think its not very typical, yet its basic. i think bar 11 and 12 sounded odd.for some reason.

HemeolaMan -> RE: The Real book Project - Alegrias in any key (Jan. 4 2008 5:55:46)

perhaps you could return it with some revisions to make it typical? that would definitely help me in my understanding of what typical is lol. i just took the stuff from those compas sheets and tried to follow the form

duende -> RE: The Real book Project - Alegrias in any key (Jan. 4 2008 6:09:58)

theres nothing wrong with it, it´s just not what im use to hear.
i can send you a variation of it [:)] that sounds "typical" to me

HemeolaMan -> RE: The Real book Project - Alegrias in any key (Jan. 4 2008 18:24:42)

ah yes thank you very much. i was just throwing **** on a page lol.

Is it okay if I use yours in the final cut? i may include the falseta because it is nice and simple and clearly outlines the harmony =)

of course I will put Arr By Henrik and Kevin

duende -> RE: The Real book Project - Alegrias in any key (Jan. 4 2008 19:00:02)

cool, i´ll do some more if you like [:)] maybe the "-Tiriti tran tran tran" as a falseta[:D]

HemeolaMan -> RE: The Real book Project - Alegrias in any key (Jan. 5 2008 7:18:30)

i think we just need another alegrias, one that's slightly different, if anyone wants to, otherwise i'm going to post a thread for alegrias in !

are there any other alegrias keys that are really important?

mrMagenta -> RE: The Real book Project - Alegrias in any key (Jan. 5 2008 7:45:24)

how can we see what you've got so far?

HemeolaMan -> RE: The Real book Project - Alegrias in any key (Jan. 5 2008 8:02:43)

i emailed it to ya
