jrabbani -> not for the squeamish (Dec. 29 2007 11:20:56)

so my nail grew back (see old post) finally...but on sunday, I was cooking tamales with my family, the knife slipped and i nearly cut off my thumb tip. sorry for the photo, but use me as an example when you are cooking! so i'm bandaged up with 4 stitches and on yet another hiatus from guitar [:(][:(]

my bro took this pic while i was in the ER, nice of him, no?

This is a lesson to everyone... Use a sharp knife and always keep the tip in touch with the chopping board. And don't get your finger or thumb between the blade and the board [:)] Stay safe out there folks!

And another tip(no pun intended)....if you want tamales, go to a Mexican restaurant and order them. If you wish to cook them yourself, fear the curse of the rabbani.

also keep your finger tips under, and have the side of the blade be guided by the knuckle.

You are very unlucky and I feel sorry for you. It looks like your left hand, so maybe you can play guitar again very soon (because it was 'only' the tip that was hurt)? I really hope so for your sake!

itasooooooo!!! (Looks like it hurts like hell) I recommend more tequila and some J-Lo salsa videos. You know, that woman can really shake it! It won't cure you, but it will take away your pain - guaranteed or your money back!

(I think this is it!)

...and if that didn't work for you

Ouch! I put a bottle of Pernod through my hand during a drunken skirmish in France (how appropriate). I nearly lost the hand but a German saved me and it healed in the end. Clean cuts are best; I had powdered glass coming out from under my fingernails for years.

Tonight, I have a few Sol micheladas and tacos al pastor in me and crappy banda from a bar across the street.

Cuidate!
