stevnp -> Anders Eliasson blanca for sale price cut to £1500! (Dec. 23 2007 0:13:57)

Hi, due to my inability to get used to pegs, I've decided to sell my Anders Eliasson blanca 2005. It is in excellent condition, and has the special two colour french polish. I'm sure all of you will have heard of the quality of Ander's guitars, so no need for me go into detail, lovely traditional blanca, low action and very responsive. No problems, cracks etc. The attached pic is from Anders old site; it is of the actual guitar for sale. See this link for his info about this instrument:

Guitar is in London, UK.

Asking £1500 firm, for quick sale.

Steve

I'd be interested, but what do you mean you find it difficult to get used to the pegheads? There's not much getting used to involved. I mean, what's the exact issue? You don't like the look, or is it that they won't stay tuned? They hurt the tone?

It's just that I'm used to machine heads. I thought I'd get used to pegs after a while, but unfortunately I find them a bit fiddly, having to hold the neck of guitar with right hand when tuning, so not easy to tune using harmonics as I'd normally do. I like the look, and I think they're preferable in some ways to machines; lighter, and supposedly HELP the tone. There's nothing wrong with Anders' guitar, in fact if someone in UK had an Anders with machines in similar condition, I'd prefer a swap. If she doesn't sell, I'll have to save up to have 'Pegheds' (geared pegs fitted). I don't really want to have her converted to machines.

Steve,

I don't understand what you mean by "special two colour french polish". I only see one. Orange. Are you talking about the rosette being left clear?

Sorry Tom, yes that's what I meant, as you'll know it's a technique that Anders' french polisher uses, leaving the rosette and purfling clear.

Steve.
