Nice idea flamenco_9! Can't listen in the office, but will vote later.

this is a great example that the hands matter more than the instruments themselves as there's not a lot of difference between these guitars playing this one piece...in fact if one doesn't pay attention, they sound exactly the same...
i'd be much more curious about this flamenco style, where the guitarist is not so gentle but plays powerfully too...it'd show the guitars' strength and deficiencies more clearly...

I agree Jimi.
But I think that the Arias doesn't sound like the others. It's more raw.He plays with that mellow, piano-like strokes. But he doesn't seem to be able to tame that guitar completely. [:D]

the player is one guy.
those guitars supposed to be classical but dont forget it is all spanish so they fit in a way or another for flamenco (not like blancas ofcourse).
you have to have your head all as ears [:D]
I think I vote for domingo esteso then fleta then torres.

xirdneH_imiJ -> RE: Vote For Your Best Guitar Sound (Dec. 7 2007 15:02:01)

i listened it with a flamenco ear...of course there are subtle differences and if you're an experienced classical player/listener then this is definitely interesting...for me however it didn't contain much information and i wouldn't be able to pick unless i heard them in the musical environment i play or long to hear...if i really had to choose it'd be the fleta...

Maybe it's best when you would them yourself.

TANúñez -> RE: Vote For Your Best Guitar Sound (Dec. 8 2007 4:24:57)

They all tend to sound the same but I like the power of the Fleta.

flamenco_9 -> RE: Vote For Your Best Guitar Sound (Dec. 8 2007 20:18:11)

hey flamencos what is up
no big ears out there [:D]
if you focused well on bases you can see some differences!

Doitsujin -> RE: Vote For Your Best Guitar Sound (Dec. 8 2007 23:10:06)

They all sound like plastic.... I wouldnt buy any of them. Ugly sound IMO.

I am sure most of those guitars can sound flamenco if they played by a flamenco
player!

Ricardo -> RE: Vote For Your Best Guitar Sound (Dec. 11 2007 18:18:07)

Manuel Ramirez was best. Fleta was loudest, best for the modern classical player IMO. I almost picked Esteso, but they tuned it sharp, so my opinion was biased because it sounded brighter and more clear. Like when you put a capo on. But second time, it was M. Ramirez for me. Oh, and boy am I sick of that song!

Well here's another version to get sick of. This guy does some beautiful versions of Beatle songs, worth checking him out. His tone and feel is amazing I think. He hails from Duende's neck of the woods I think........................

Ok, I liked the Ramirez too.
