I listen to the programme "Highland Hip" on a Sunday. This week's was a cracker IMO. It actually addresses the same sort of issues affecting Trad/Modern Flamenco too. I thought some of the synchopations were right on! http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/highlandhip/pip/e9lz4/ Press "Listen Again" and wind on a minute (unless you want to catch the end of "Gardener's Question Time" [:D]) The whole thing is only 15mins long, so no real waste of your life. cheers, Ron

Thanks Ron, it was interesting. I'm sure there are many musical traditions facing the same predicament - keep it alive with innovation, but without turning it into Something Completely Different. (Oh, and by the way, I very much enjoyed the accents. "What accents?" says Ron "I dinnae hear any accents."
